Book Report: Freakanomics

Book!

entryImageTitle- Reakanomics: A Rogue Economist Explores the Hidden Side of Everything (Revised and Expanded Edition) - Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner ISBN: 0061234001 Book Sellers Price: 27.95 (US)

From the inside cover: "Which is more dangerous, a gun or a swimming pool? What do schoolteachers and sumo wrestlers have in common? Why do drug dealers still live with their moms? How much do parents really matter? How did the legalization of abortion affect the rate of violent crime?"

I came across this book several months ago after listening to Steven Levitt's talk at TED. I found his talk about the economics of drug dealers so interesting and frankly, hilarious, that I couldn't help picking up a copy of this book (and in hardcover at that). If you're of the "I want to be educated and entertained" persuasion - think frequenters of the Discovery and History Channels - I highly recommend this book.
