Oh Noes!
It wasn't the RAM... its the motherboard.
New Computer
I've been working on a new computer the last week or so, and let me tell you its gonna fly... once I get it working.
- Intel Core 2 Extreme 2.93ghz Processor — Thats quad core my friends
- XFX Geforce 7950gx2 1gb Graphics card — Thats dual processors sharing a gig of ram
- ? RAM
- EVGA nVideo 680i SLI motherboard — The 680i chipset is nice, and the support for SLI might be nice.
Notice the big hole there? Yeah, the RAM is the problem right now. I bought 4gigs of OCZ Platinum RAM, but they don't seem to be compatible with the board, so I'm gonna probably go for 2gigs of some Crucial, Kingston, or Corsair and hope it works out.
Should be blast when its up and running... looking forward to seeing what WoW looks like with this setup.
Weekly Starcraft
While I missed this week's session, some friends and I are attempting to set up a weekly Starcraft playing night. If you wish to join us, we start around 8:00pm EST on Friday evening and usually play for a couple of hours. US - East server, channel Hydra Den
D&D Session No More
Well, it happened two weeks ago, but by our playing schedule, this is still recent news: I canceled my Eberron game. I've finally come to realize that I'm not a model DM, and forcing myself to try and do better isn't really doing anything. Back to rules tinkering and maybe being a player for a while, until I get my head cleared and can run a real game again.
Age of Worms
Well, after my call for players came up with only one applicant, he has brought in at least one more, and possible another two more after that... my Sunday game is now up to 5 players, with up to 3 more joining.
Given that huge jump my current set of gestalt character is becoming a little hard to handle, and as such will probably have to be scrapped. If I do junk it, I'll probably try to get an Age of Worms game going. It solves some of my "bad DM habits" that I've come to grips with... loot skimping, railroading...
Should be interesting. I hope :)
Free PDF Mini-Books Coming
I've decided to push some of the mini-projects I've written into PDF form and make them availible here on the site. I'm not sure the ETA on these, but it will depend on how quickly I can review the OGL and d20 licenses and what format I'm adding them in. In addition, I'm hoping to eventually be able to put up a series of regular articles once I decide on an interesting topic.
